Christiane Plociennik

Senior Researcher

Dr Christiane Plociennik studied Computer Science and German Language and Literature at Chemnitz University of Technology and completed her PhD in the field of Ubiquitous Computing at the University of Rostock. She has been working intensively on artificial intelligence and information modelling for more than 15 years and has acquired and managed several large third-party-funded projects on these topics. She is an expert on AI and sustainability and a frequent speaker on this topic, including at the German government's Digital Summit 2020 and the DHBW AI Transfer Congress 2023. Her current research interests are in the areas of AI for sustainability, sustainable AI, data modelling for the circular economy (including the Digital Product Passport) and the use of AI in the circular economy.
