Arbel’s research focuses on techno-economic optimization for energy management in smart grids. She is working on the development of model- and data-driven approaches including white-box optimization algorithms and black-box machine-learning models for optimal planning and control of entities in the distribution grid, including legacy assets and distributed energy resources.
