Bendjedid Rachad Sanoussi is an ICT Specialist who has a contagious enthusiasm for environmental protection. For him, digital technologies must contribute more to a more sustainable future. His passion, determination, and ambition have led him to become an SDG advocate by sharing and transmitting hope to young people through his work and community engagements.

Currently, Rachad is pursuing a PhD in Digital and Artificial Intelligence (Management) in Morocco. His research focuses on AI applications aimed at improving customer experience in sustainable tourism, exploring its challenges and opportunities. His aspiration as a researcher is to bridge the gap between academia and industry through applied research.

Furthermore, Rachad actively contributes to the analysis, research, and evaluation of cutting-edge policies. He worked as a Digital Transformation Support and as an ICT Engineering Support at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), where he contributed to the deployment of digital solutions worldwide. He also worked as a communications intern at the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). Moreover, he was a member of the research group at the Centre for AI and Digital Policy (CAIDP), where he contributed to the assessment of AI policies and practices for Morocco. For four years, as a laboratory technician at the University of Abomey-Calavi, he taught and facilitated practical work for telecommunications engineering students.

Recognized as a Youth Digital Champion and the Inaugural Paul Muchene Fellow, Rachad also earned an SDG Digital GameChangers Award 2024. He founded Green Leaf AI, an AgriTech startup that uses artificial intelligence to detect date palm diseases. He strives to advocate for the inclusion of youth perspectives in digital and environmental policies. His goal is to bridge the gap between local realities and global policies, ensuring young voices shape decisions for a sustainable future. He aspires to become a tech policy analyst.
