I am Kolli Venkata Supraja, a PhD candidate at IIT Delhi, specializing in microalgae-based wastewater treatment for phosphate recovery and nutrient-rich biomass production to support sustainable agriculture and a circular bioeconomy. My research integrates bioprocess development, life cycle assessment (LCA), and computational biology to design efficient, scalable, and environmentally responsible nutrient recovery systems.

A key part of my work focuses on protein–phosphate interactions and molecular modelling to identify high-affinity phosphate-binding proteins for targeted recovery. By coupling experimental bioprocessing with data-driven molecular insights, I aim to bridge fundamental science with applied environmental solutions.

I aim to contribute to SDGs 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) and 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) by transforming wastewater from an environmental burden into a valuable resource and developing scalable, low-cost biotechnological solutions that promote sustainable water management, resource recovery, and climate resilience.
